One of the things I love best about being a photographer is keeping up with the latest fashion trends.  I wait every year for the Pantone Color institute to realease it's color of the year.

This year they have named 2015's color of the year Marsala.  I know it sounds a bit geeky to be so excited but in my very visual world it makes a big impact.

For over a decade, Pantone has named a color of the year.  Why it matters to us as consumers is because it will guide the choices store suppliers and the fashion industry use everywhere.

Be on the lookout for this rich full bodied color, just like the robust wine and dishes it has been used with in the past.  You will now be seeing the fantastic color in home decor, fashion, makeup and lots of accessory items such as ties, purses, belts, shoes and more.

We will be seeing this color alot in wedding planning over the next twelve months as well as on the runways and at celebrity premier events and parties.

This color pairs perfectly for men with classic blues, goes great with greys and tans too. For women the posiblities are endless allowing you to add this rich almost burgandy color to your wardrobe.  It is the perfect match for any of the colors above.

I plan to embrace and enjoy the rest of Pantone's fantastic Spring color palate as well.   I know we will be seeing alot of them in the coming months and I know I will be recommending some of these beautiful color combinations to my clients too.
